All to the Sea
8 km long, up to 450 meters wide, with outstandingly fine sand, the Bibione beach stretches from the lighthouse on the mouth of the Tagliamento to the area of Pineda and Porto Baseleghe. Its shoreline is free, so the part behind the umbrellas, placed at a great distance from each other. You can go by bike to the sea, along the bike path. There are racks at the height of every lido. Early in the morning on the beach, also nordic walking, up to the gravel roads leading to the lighthouse. A sign warns here and there: “Beware of squirrels”. A possible pleasant surprise.

The after-beach
Do not miss after the day on the beach the “Thermae”, created in 1996 for the exploitation of the alpine alkaline-bicarbonate-sodium waters that arises, not far away, at 52 ° of temperature. In speedboat from Porto Baseleghe along the lagoon up to the last traditional “casoni” with roofs in a marshy reed. Nature-themed also the walk in the park of Valgrande. In this territory of “Valli” and brackish fishing basins alternate fossil dunes, wetlands with sedentary and migratory birds, black pines and ancient native holm oaks.
